What’s Alpharetta Restaurant Week?
If you love trying new restaurants (and deals), you’ll want to check this out!
Alpharetta Restaurant Week runs October 11–18, 2025, with multi-course specials across the city. Many dinner menus are priced $25–$60.
This year, Ray’s at Killer Creek is offering a three-course dinner for $55 — and let’s just say, it’s totally worth it.
(P.S. Jang Su Jang is also on the list – so there are lots of good eats to explore this week!)
About Ray’s at Killer Creek
Ray’s at Killer Creek has been around since 1998, serving up seafood, steaks, and an impressive wine list. They’re part of the well-known Ray’s Restaurant Group, which also includes Ray’s on the River and Ray’s in the City.
In 2024, the Alpharetta location came under new ownership by TEI Hospitality, a local family-owned group that’s continuing the Ray’s legacy while adding some fresh new energy to the menu.
The vibe here is upscale-casual — think white tablecloths, warm lighting, and polished service, but not too formal. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a date night as it does for a nice dinner with friends or family. You’ll find everything from seafood and steak lovers to brunch regulars enjoying the live music on weekends.

What We Tried (and Loved)
Alright, let’s talk about the food… because everything we tried was seriously good.
Appetizers

- New Orleans BBQ Shrimp & Grit Cake – buttery, garlicky perfection. The grit cake has that perfect crisp edge and creamy middle.
- Dry-Aged Meatballs – packed with flavor and depth from the dry aging, plus that truffle ricotta and mushroom sauce… yes please.
- Pimento Fritters – golden, crunchy, cheesy bites with a sweet jalapeño jelly that gives just a tiny kick.
Entrées

- Pan-Seared Branzino – my personal favorite! Super flaky, not fishy at all, and the caper-lemon sauce ties it all together beautifully.
- Stuffed Airline Chicken – tender, juicy, and full of earthy mushroom flavor. The celery purée and cipollini onions make it extra fancy.
- Campanelle alla Vodka – creamy but not heavy, with a gentle spice that sneaks up on you. Loved that they used campanelle pasta — it holds sauce perfectly!
Desserts

- Warm Butter Cake – soft, buttery, slightly lemony, and perfect with ice cream and blueberries.
- Brownie Sundae – rich, chocolatey, and topped with caramelized banana (which makes it feel way more special than your usual brownie).
- Ice Cream – if you’re stuffed by this point, two scoops of house-made ice cream is the perfect finish.
Vibe, Service, and Pairings
Ray’s has that timeless steakhouse-meets-coastal vibe – white tablecloths, glowing lights, and warm hospitality. Service was excellent from start to finish.
If you’re doing seafood (like the branzino), pair it with a crisp white wine. Doing pasta or chicken? A medium red like a Zinfandel works great.
It’s definitely a good spot for a date night, special occasion, or if you just want to treat yourself to a nice dinner out.
Pro Tips
- Reserve ahead for Restaurant Week prime times and for live music nights (Fri–Sat).
- Ask about wine pairings tied to the Restaurant Week entrées.
- Prefer brunch? Ray’s runs a Sunday brunch buffet, 10 am–2 pm.

Final Take
If you’re looking for a solid fine-dining experience in Alpharetta with friendly service and a menu that balances creativity and comfort, Ray’s at Killer Creek should definitely be on your list this Restaurant Week.
That branzino? So fresh and flavorful.
The New Orleans BBQ shrimp & grit cake? Total must-try.
And the warm butter cake? Let’s just say I’m still thinking about it.
💬 My picks: If I had to choose my favorites from the Alpharetta Restaurant Week menu, I’d go with the shrimp and grits, the branzino, and the warm butter cake for dessert — that combo is perfection!
